My Story

Donna Engvall, a New Orleans native, left a 22-year career with AT&T in 2001 to answer the call of God on her life for full-time ministry.  After serving in a local New Orleans church as an outreach pastor for children’s street evangelism, running a mission that fed the poor, and starting a ministry to prostituted women, Donna moved to Pensacola, Florida, to attend Brownsville Revival School of Ministry. While in Bible school, she founded a second ministry to women in the sex trade industry.  Donna and her team ministered to women in crack houses, seedy motels, street corners, strip clubs, and jails. In 2002, Donna graduated from the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and also has an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Christian International in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. In 2006, she became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.

Donna is the founder and director of Unashamed Love, a 501c3 ministry to women in the sex industry.  She and her team currently reach out to dancers in strip clubs on Bourbon Street and to prostituted women in New Orleans.  

Since her salvation 30 years ago, Donna has continuously been involved in inner city evangelism in some of the darkest and worst areas.  She has traveled extensively and has ministered to hundreds of sexually exploited women. Her heart has always been to reach the most broken and hopeless for Jesus Christ, to see them set free, totally restored, and walking in their destiny.
